Obituary for David Donnan

David Hibbs Donnan, age 93, died February 7, 2018.​ ​
Born April 22, 1924, in Columbus, Ohio, Dave was a son of the late Edmund A. and Ruth Hibbs. He was also predeceased by his brother, Edmund Donnan Jr.

He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II and was a graduate of Babson College in Wellesley, Mass. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Athens.

He is survived by his wife, Kitty Wiliams Donnan, and their dog, Apple.

Other survivors include his children and their spouses: David H. Donnan Jr. and Julie of Chatham, Mass.; Caroline Stevens Donnan and John Evers of New Haven, Vt.; and Edmund A. Donnan III and Valerie Lang of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; his children’s mother, Amelia Rogers Guise; his grandchildren and their spouses: Elizabeth Donnan Kintz and Brad; Emily Donnan and Rick Waldo; Beau Donnan; Denver Donnan; Leah Mulholland; and Shane Mulholland; his great-grandchildren: Harrison Hibbs Kintz; Harper Hyde Kintz; and Sydney Waldo; his sister-in-law, Adelaide Donnan; and his nieces and their spouses: Adelaide Donnan Valentine and Bob; and ​Margaret ​Donnan H​o​ster and David.

The family is grateful to Betty Warren, Cortekia Hardy and others of Kindred Hospice whose kindness and professionalism made the last months of Dav​id​'s life comfortable and pleasant.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Athens; Every Child Counts, Box AB20085, Marsh Harbour, Abaco, Bahamas; or a charity of your choice.
