Obituary for Tryon Huggins Jr.

Tryon Kenimer Huggins, Jr. died on August 24 of complications following a heart attack. Mr. Huggins was born and raised in Athens, GA. He attended Athens High School and the University of Georgia, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. Upon graduation, he served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force.

After working in the general accounting field, he entered the finance business, eventually becoming Sr. Vice President and CFO of First Financial Services, a multistate financial company.

He loved sailing, the Georgia Bulldogs, bird hunting and his dogs. He was a firearms enthusiast and an award winning skeet and trap shooter.

Mr. Huggins is survived by his son, Tryon Kenimer Huggins III; grandchildren Wyatt Huggins, Marissa Vestal and John Michael Vestal; two brothers, Jere P. Huggins and William S Huggins, and his sister-in-law, Lisa Huggins. His daughter Louise Huggins Brillhart died in 2011.

Services will be held graveside at the Oconee Hill Cemetary at 2 pm on Tuesday, August 28.
